Gianna Whitver grew up in Ocean, NJ and currently lives on the west coast of Florida. She is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in advertising and English and works as an associate marketing manager at Brookline Branch Services.
Gianna lives with her boyfriend of seven years and in her spare time enjoys traveling, reading books and blogs, and cooking. Her friends describe her as funny and spontaneous. She learned about InStepp through the Hands-On Triangle website and began volunteering as a social media communications specialist about six months ago, contributing social media content long distance from her Florida home.
InStepp is Gianna’s first volunteer experience, and she was drawn to the organization after hearing some of the success stories of InStepp clients. She was also inspired by the dedication of InStepp CEO Gilda Womble.
Gianna says InStepp “has touched my heart and reaffirmed my commitment to working towards economic justice for all.” She encourages others thinking of volunteering to contact InStepp. “If you have passion, this is a great place. If you have ideas, share them,” she says.
