C. Heyward Gignilliat was born in Gainesville, GA. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he taught English in Japan for six years. After completing graduate school, he moved first to Boston and then to San Francisco where he taught English at the Academy of Art University for eight years. Heyward and his wife moved to Durham in the summer of 2018. He currently works as an independent contractor with InStepp’s Citizenship Instruction Program. Read more >
