Sarah Strobel lives 20 miles from Chicago, IL in a town called Alsip. She is currently working part-time at the local children’s museum as their play coordinator. She also works in a contract creative work position with different businesses. Her work includes taking care of guests, taking photos at events, writing press releases and newsletters, and creating social media posts. On top of her two jobs, she is also interning with a business in Arizona managing their social media accounts. She is described by those close to her as hardworking, funny and caring which is no surprise looking at her workload. In her free time, Sarah enjoys staying active by taking walks and kickboxing. She also likes to keep her mind busy with writing, finding new music, and by challenging her creativeness with art projects and photography.
Sarah started volunteering with InStepp in August 2017. She loves to seek out opportunities that will help her to hone and get more experience in her craft. She manages the facebook and twitter accounts for InStepp which was what she was seeking out at the time. Because she enjoys helping others, Sarah knew the Communication Volunteer position at InStepp would be a perfect fit for her. She likes to have creative responsibilities paired with her interests in helping people, especially those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. One of her duties with InStepp is to find news to share which has made her more aware of these three top issues in today’s society. Awareness creates responsiveness.
