As we come to a close for the year of 2015, this is a popular time of any year to give and donate to different charities that provide local resources in our community.
There are many advantages to donating and giving, Donor relations is the comprehensive effort of any nonprofit that seeks philanthropic support to ensure that donors experience high quality interactions with the organization that foster long term engagement and investment.
These efforts have four elements that include gift acceptance and management (policies and procedures related to gift giving), acknowledgement, donor recognition, and honor rolls (levels of giving).
These acts of stewardship play a large part in funding and promoting our community and resources to families in the Durham County area.
As a tool of reference and great example, a local paper called Indy Week. It’s a publication, accompanied by a website, whose primary goal is to facilitate year-end giving to a cross-section of Triangle-area non-profit organizations. They are offering opportunities to instill the annual gift giving habit in Triangle residents.
Local businesses have joined with Indy Week to provide cool gifts like chocolate, pizza, coffee, shot glasses, burgers, tickets, dog treats, and more to donors, depending on the amount donated.
On select “Give Days” everyone who donates $25 or more is automatically entered to win prizes.
Donating and gift giving is an essential part of our culture and functionality of business. If it wasn’t for dedicated sponsors and commitment of the generosity from merchants, it would be difficult to reach the overall objective of gift giving and donation mission.
Non-profits are the lifeline in any community organization. As a whole, these grassroots campaigns set the bar for community wide commitment and collaboratively working together to meet the goals of the people in need.
The goal of this mission is to encourage people age 18-35 to get involved in philanthropy, attract new donors and/or volunteers to these causes, and to provide publicity and exposure for a variety of local non-profits.
