Alexius Brandveen currently resides in Raleigh, NC. and is a recent graduate of North Carolina Central University’s MSW program. Prior to attending NCCU, Alexius obtained her B.S. in Psychology from Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC in 2016. A native of Petersburg, VA with a passion for helping others and serving as a change agent, Alexius has a love for improving the quality of life of adults and veterans who have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Alexius is excited to join InStepp Inc. and looks forward to learning from and influencing the community of women who aim to acquire self-sufficiency through the programs and services offered. As an oncoming Board Member, Alexius hopes to leverage her many years of field and community experience to assist in empowering women within the community.
In her free time, Alexius enjoys traveling internationally, watching movies, spending time with her family, and playing with her dog Triton. Alexius can always be found either smiling or laughing and is certain to bring positivity to the organization!
