Becoming a volunteer InStepp Ambassador means that you play a vital role as a community change agent. Through the work of our volunteers, Board and staff, we transform women who have found themselves in less than desirable life circumstances, by building their talent through innovative job and life skills training. This is a huge boost for the communities in the Triangle area when these women succeed. Those who can’t get their lives back together are at risk of ending up in prison, with taxpayers footing the bill to the tune of $23,876 per inmate, on average, per year.
