Shefaali is President at the Kara Group where she has worked extensively with executives on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, operations improvement, and reorganizations. Prior to the Kara Group, Shefaali was Vice President at Inova Health System, a $3B healthcare system in Norther Virginia, where she was responsible for the talent management and talent acquisitions functions and led the transformation effort of the $25M HR function.
She is passionate about a number of community issues including alleviating poverty, providing access to education, and enabling women to achieve their full potential. In addition to working with InStepp, she also engages with several organizations in the Raleigh-Durham area including serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for BUFP.org working to alleviate poverty in the Durham area.
Shefaali received a B.S. from the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
