Our Partners Collaborations that Work
|
Our lean organization transforms the lives of women who have had to rise above odds by partnering with organizations that support our important mission.

The Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC) and InStepp, Inc. have partnered to provide a seamless continuum of care, including transitional housing, to the women and children who transition out of the Durham emergency shelter each year, or who are identified through the agency's Non-Residential Services Program. The Durham Transitional Housing Program is being funded by a grant awarded by the Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women Transitional Housing Program.
Under the grant, DCRC will provide assistance finding permanent and safe housing in addition to counseling, case management and advocacy. InStepp, Inc. will provide employability and life skills education in addition to employment counseling and mentoring support through its Employment Reentry Assistance Program for Women.

InStepp, Inc. has partnered with El Centro Hispano along with Kiran, Inc. and the Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC), to create the Durham Multi-Agency Collaboration Project. Through the DCP partnership, InStepp will be able to provide streamlined, efficient and comprehensive culturally- and linguistically-specific services to Latino victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking within the Durham community. Under the grant, InStepp will expand its economic empowerment-based programming for the first time to Hispanic victims in the Triangle area, and will be better able to serve its own clients who have experienced intimate partner violence. The Durham Multi-Agency Collaboration Project is funded by the Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women Grant to Enhance Culturally and Lingusitically Specific Services for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Stalking and Sexual Assault.
